Jupiter Education

West Palm Beach is part of the Palm Beach County School District, one of the largest and fastest growing in the State of Florida.

Florida recently enacted a $5 Billion spending program to expand and improve the public school system in response to the States’ rapidly growing school population. Ample signs of this are noticed by the new schools being built in virtually every area you drive by.

The commitment has been made – Florida is committed to providing superior public school education to its residents.

The county is also home to many fine private, parochial and alternative schools. Pre-school to High School.

Palm Beach County also hosts the following colleges and universities:

Jupiter History

Jupiter is located in the northerly part of Palm Beach County, near Jupiter Island, and close to Jensen Beach, and Juno Beach.

It has quiet ocean front communities with a small town atmosphere, and is tucked quietly between the Atlantic Ocean, and intercostals waterway. The scenic Loxahatchee River courses through much of Jupiter. Its 30,000 residents enjoy a bucolic setting, and close proximity to West Palm Beach.

The Jupiter Theatre in near by Juno Beach offers top-level entertainment, and shopping is convenient, and plentiful. Recreation is abundant, and includes the fishing pier in Jupiter, as well as jogging and cycling at an ocean front bike path. The Jupiter lighthouse, 105 ft high, is South Florida’s most famous landmark, having gone dark for only 2 brief periods of time, in 150 years.

Jupiter Housing

Jupiter is a largely residential area with a variety of single-family home communities.  Many are in bucolic settings. Many areas are in or close to water settings. There are also a number of condo communities at or near the water nearby. Prices range from about $300,000 for single-family homes, and from about $200,000 for condominiums. Properties by the water can be much higher.

Jupiter Nature

For an inland look, the natural beauty of the Everglades National Forest graces Palm Beach County.  It flourishes in millions of acres of unspoiled beauty.  For a bit more exercise you might want to go hiking, canoeing, kayaking, diving, cycling, or camping.  While doing these activities keep a look out for rare species of birds and wildlife that live within the boundaries.  For water activities, air boat tours and rides are available.  Keep your eyes open and you might get a glimpse of sea turtles, ospreys, pelicans, or manatees.

There are more than 1,100 courts in Palm Beach County.  The Chris Evert Training Academy offers instruction year round from beginners to advanced players.

GOLF

Palm Beach County is considered the "Golf Capitol of the World" with more than 160 golf courses including world renowned architects such as Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Donald Ross, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player.  Courses range from numerous public and semi-private courses to lavish resort facilities.

WATER, BOATING AND FISHING

The coast off Palm Beach County is ideal for SCUBA divers of any level.  We've got some of the best diving along the entire East Coast.  The water temperatures stay comfortable all year round averaging around 70-84 degrees.  Freshwater activities, such as fishing is a dream in Palm Beach County.  With Lake Osborne, Lake Ida, Lake Okeechobee (one of America's largest freshwater bodies) and countless canals in between, you can catch yourself a Largemouth bass, Sunshine bass, Bream, Bluegill and Catfish in plentiful numbers.  Other activities include, boating and chartering a yacht.

There are numerous marinas located by the ocean and intra coastal waterway.  They offer various water activities for those who wish to take part such as:

Jupiter Transportation

Jupiter is centrally located in dynamic South East Florida.

We are conveniently located to three major airports, Palm Beach International Airport, Fort Lauderdale International Airport, and Miami International Airport, as well as several private plane airfields.

Two major highways I-95 and The Florida Turnpike, transverse the county from north to south.

Cruise ships and cargo vessels use the Port of Palm Beach, and the Miami piers.

Light rail service runs from Miami through the county to points North.
